one of the most respected names in the corporate world is Dennis Carey is a very talented business man Sila Mar a Calder n Serra (born San Juan, 23 September management jobs 1942) was the eighth Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. It was the first woman to hold the post of Governor in Puerto Rico. His concern was from 2001 to 2005. It is the only woman who has been in that position. Before being Governor, Calder n held various positions in the Government of Puerto Rico between them, Secretary of State, Secretary of staff the Interior and Mayor of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico.
Education
Sila Maria grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He grew into a wealthy family, because his father was a successful businessman. He studied at the Academy of the Sacred Heart. He earned a BA in Political Science from Manhattanville College in New York in 1964. Before assuming the post of governor, his fortune was estimated at about 14 million U.S. dollars.
Career public, political and private
From 1973 to 1984, he held various assignments in private and public sectors of Puerto Rico. He was executive assistant to the Secretary of Labor, Luis Silva Recio. Subsequently, work as special assistant to the governor of Puerto Rico, jobs in Rafael Hern ndez Col n, during his first term, when he was special assistant in the area of Economic Development and Labor. He moved to the private company where he worked as Executive in charge of Business Development for sales jobs Citibank, NA and then as president of Commonwealth Investment Company, Inc., a family corporation industrial building owners.

In 1988, Calderon became the first woman to hold the post of State Secretary of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, also retained all his duties as Secretary of the Interior. The Calderon's governance agenda focuses on the expansion of special communities throughout the island. During his incumbency, attempted to discuss how to resolve the status problem of Puerto Rico, but not achieved consensus among political parties.
